]Nic Collins lives and works in Devon, on the edge of Dartmoor. He is one of our most accomplished and dedicated potters. He started building kilns and wheels during his late teens and early 20s, experimenting with raku, salt glazing and sawdust firings, and using clay sourced from local river banks.
Woodfiring is an unpredictable and exhausting way to make pots and can take up to 5 days with very little sleep! I interviewed Nic for our film below and wrote and recorded the music for it.
